Jason Bruges

Artist & Designer

0:001:30

Jason Bruges is a London-based artist and designer whose work sits at the intersection of art, architecture and technology. A pioneer of interactive environments, he creates installations that transform public spaces through light, movement and digital technology. Trained as an architect at Oxford Brookes University and UCL's Bartlett School of Architecture, he worked at Foster + Partners and Imagination before establishing Jason Bruges Studio in 2002.

His internationally acclaimed studio brings together artists, architects, engineers and creative technologists to produce ambitious, site-specific works around the world. From robotic installations and kinetic sculptures to immersive environments that respond to human movement, Bruges explores how technology can make buildings and public spaces more playful, engaging and human. His work challenges the idea of architecture as something static, imagining instead a built environment that comes alive around us.
